The Comfy Cow is an ice creamery in Louisville, Kentucky that wanted to provide customers with the ability to purchase their famous sweets through the age of social distancing. While they were offering curbside pickup, Comfy Cow wanted customers to have a full online experience with the ice cream delivered straight to the door.

Untitled Approach

Untitled’s challenge was to quickly build eCommerce functionality on the Comfy Cow WordPress website (previously developed by our team) and push orders to the newly developed fulfilment team.

Utilizing WooCommerce, Untitled stood up the newly developed online menu and connected the payment gateway to Stripe for online transactions. Our web design team added the new collections to the homepage, created a “Shop” page, setup the shopping cart systems, and pushed the site live. The Comfy Cow team then made an organic social post on Instagram and Facebook announcing the new online ordering system.

Client Outcome

Within the hour, Comfy Cows unique page views skyrocketed to 1,241 and over the course of 2 hours saw 14 orders, accounting for just under $300 in revenue. Their team needed to initially pull down the new functionality in order build internal systems to handle the volume, but then quickly reposted to capitalize on eCommerce functionality long-term.
